DAY 1

FEZ – AZROU – MIDALET – ERRACHIDIA – ZIZ VALLEY – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA (440 KM)
Pick up from your hotel in Fes and departure to discover the south of Morocco. We will leave Fez toward Merzouga; let yourself be lost in the wonderful landscapes of Sefrou, capital of the cherry of Morocco, then Ifrane, the Moroccan city in Swiss style. Enjoy the chance to see the monkeys in the cedar forests up close. Which means in Berber "caves". A few miles away, you will discover the North African monkeys climbing the trees up close and picking up everything you offer them. Continuing to Midelt where we will stop for a lunch, back on the road again, we will cross the pass of TIZI N TALGHAMT to reach Ziz valley. Drive continues to Erg Chebbi Dunes passing by Erfoud. Before heading to the final station of the day Merzouga. Overnight in a hotel with Dinner and Breakfast.

DAY 2

MERZOUGA – ERG CHEBBI DUNES – TAMRDANITE – KHAMLIA HASSI EL-BIED.
Breakfast at your hotel, we will start on the second day of our journey to the Sahara Desert, you will have a 4x4 taking you through the sand-sea dunes near the Algerian border where you can take as many photos as you would like and see the black volcanic rock, you will meet a nomad families and get a closer look at their nomadic lifestyle. Next, we will pass by small Berber villages like Tamrdanite on our way to where the Gnawa lived as nomads until settling last century in a small village called Khamlia. Khamlia (or the Gnawa village as it is fondly known) lies 7km south of Merzouga at the door of the desert, relax and witness moments of spiritual Gnawa music. On the way back to the hotel enjoy the breathtaking view of the lake of Ait Sareji which attracts pink flamingos and many others birds.
Rest at your hotel before getting ready for a camel trek in the heart of the desert to head to the bivouac while watching the glorious sunset through the dunes. A traditional Berber dinner will be prepared for you at the encampment. After dinner, you will be at leisure to enjoy the beauty of the Saharan sky and the magnificence of your surroundings.

DAY 3

MERZOUGA – RISSANI – ERFOUD – TINJDAD – TINGHIR – DADES VALLEY
An early wake to witness the sun rising from the east over the desert dunes–one of Morocco’s greatest sights; the camels will be waiting for you. Return to the camp to have your breakfast. You will ride your camel back to the hotel where you can take a shower and refresh; afterwards we will drive to Rissani through the Ksours and kasbahs of Tafilalet. Visiting the Zaouia of moulay Ali El-Charif, the mausoleum of the dynasty Glaoui founder, get a closer look at the local market and traditoinal souks in Rissani. Next, we drive via Tinghir passing by Arfoud and Tinjdad where you will have lunch before continuing towards Tinghir where you can have a walk between the gorgeous oasis palm trees. Later we drive to Dades. You will spend the night in a Kasbah include dinner and breakfast.

DAY 4

TINGHIR – DADES VALLEY – BOUTGHRAR – EL KELAA M’GOUNA – SKOURA – OURZAZATE
After breakfast, you will begin your journey to Ouarzazate through the valley of Dades exploring the marvelous sights of the valley. After that, we drive you over the wonderful Pist “Mil Kasbah” which is accessible only on 4×4 passing by the amazing Berber villages such as “Boutaghrar”.
You will have the opportunity to meet some Berber nomads living in the caves. Then continue to El Kelaa M’gouna (the valley of roses) where we will stop for lunch, before heading to Ourzazate by crossing the beautiful oasis of the palm grove in Skoura, where you can see many exotic Kasbah such as Amerhidil. The journey ends in Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.

DAY 5

OURZAZATE AIT BENHADDO – PASS TIZI-N-TICHKA – MARRAKECH
Spend the morning exploring the region surrounding Ouarzazate. Visit the Kasbah Taouirirt and the UNESCO-restored Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. Film buffs may be surprised to learn that Ouarzazate was the setting for dozens of movies and TV shows such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Head west through the High Atlas Mountains and the dramatic pass of Tizn Tichka en route to Marrakech. This hairpin road is one of only two passes through the largest mountain chain in Africa. Continue driving to Marrakech (Total driving time today is approximately 5 hours (plus stops) Drop off at your accomodation.in Marrakech.
